He's Not The Tax Man Country music superstar Willie Nelson was at Spirit
Mountain Casino, Wednesday, July 30, where he played to sold-out crowds on both
nights. Fans got a chance to see Willie up close and personal as the down-to-earth
star entertained with his signature laid-back style.

burn south of Grand Ronde recently. Controlled burning improves conditions for
forest workers, helps maintain a healthy balance of vegetation and cleans out
underbrush that can turn otherwise small spot fires into large destructive fires.

Road Widening Project Tribal Engineer Eric Scott describes to Tribal
Council and local public officials the details and options of the upcoming Grand
Ronde Road Widening Project. The project will provide walkways and bicycle
lanes for this community road that is frequently traveled by large commercial trucks.

Convenience Store Update I
New Project The footings are in (left and below) as work on the
Tribe's new convenience store moves forward. At right, Tribal mem
ber Skip Norwest (down in the hole) helps install the giant (20,000
and 22,000-gallon) underground gasoline storage tanks. The Grand
Ronde Station is scheduled to open in November
