Reminder to Current STTC&DE Students
The STTC&DE Programs can help with the required textbook and sup
plies needed as you return to school but only required materials. The
cost of any "extras" you purchase at your college or school's book store
(school sweatshirts, food items, etc.) are your responsibility and cannot
be paid for out of Education Division funds. If you are unsure about a
particular item, please check with the Continuing Education office prior
to purchase.
2003 Before & After Care Registration
lA!The Before & After program is accepting applications for 2003 summer
program. The facility is located behind Grand Ronde Elementary School.
Summer program began June 12 and continues through August 15.

Free Master's Degree In Teaching At
Morgan State University
Morgan State University is recruiting for the Master of Arts in Teaching
(M.A.T.) Program. This program is TUITION FREE and GUARANTEES
EMPLOYMENT during and after the program for those who qualify. You
must have a Bachelor's Degree in Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, His
tory, Mathematics, Music or Physics, cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all under
graduate work, take the Miller Analogies Test and obtain three letters of
recommendation. If this applies to you then your tuition will be paid in
full for this two-year program and you will be able to teach grades K-12
while in the program earning the salary of a beginning teacher. Partici
pants are also guaranteed an additional three years of employment with
the Baltimore City School System.

Application Process
All applicants for positions at Spirit Mountain have to complete the following
process:
B Submit a complete Spirit Mountain Casino application (Tribal Enrollment
noted)
Call Tribal Developmentor for appointment
Complete photo and prints with the Gaming Commission (NOTE: requires
a social security card or a receipt that states you have applied for a social
security card)
Complete Gaming License application
Complete drug screen
Complete sucessful interview
All positions at Spirit Mountain require a Gaming License. Gaming License
applications are submitted to the Gaming Commission after a negative drug
screen and after photo and prints are taken.
Applicants who have previously worked at Spirit Mountain should be aware
that the applicants previous work history is evaluated in the screening and
reapplication process.

Scholarship And Job Opportunity Web Site
In an effort to increase the number of minority students who take ad
vantage of federally funded scholarship and job opportunities, a govern
ment agency has created a Web site consolidating information on such
programs.
The site, called e-Scholar http:studentjobs.gove-scholar.htm and de
signed by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, lists government
scholarships, fellowships, grants and internships geared to high school,
undergraduate and graduate students.
The e-Scholar site contains details on internships for minority students,
opportunities to travel abroad and specific programs, like the White House
Fellows program.
