The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Tribal Housing Authority
(GRTHA) is soliciting bids by 5 p.m. June 30 from contractors to per
form periodic maintenance work for newly built GRTIIA-owned hous
ing in Grand Ronde. All contractors are required to meet Davis Ba
con Standards.
Bids for services needed in the following areas: General carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, HVAC, concrete and painting

Housing Board of Commissioners Seeking Member
One position open to Tribal applicants.
The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority has one Board of Com
missioners seat open. Any Tribal member who is interested in serv
ing in this position and who has housing related experience to qualify
for the position, is encouraged to attend the June Board meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the
Housing Authority office in Grand Ronde. Please call to confirm the
date and time.
This is an opportunity to: 1) observe how the board functions, 2) be
come acquainted with the types of issues that are regularly discussed,
and 3) determine if you are seriously interested in such a position now
or in the future.
The open position has a term which expires in March 2003. Incum
bents are eligible to reapply.
Interested persons should have a demonstrated interest in housing
and experience in the housing field in some capacity, such as:
affordable housing development
B property management
residential building construction
housing financing
B housing planning
other housing related areas
The board oversees all housing development, housing management
and housing operations for the Tribe, and is responsible for housing
policy decisions. The board currently meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third
Tuesday of each month at the Housing Authority office in Grand
Ronde.

2003 to be considered. The Housing Commissioner will be selected

2003 Lamprey (Eel) Harvest
The Oregon Fish & Wildlife Commission recently approved the 2003
Pacific lamprey personal use harvest season and regulations for Willamette
Falls. The season opened June 1 and runs through July 31, or until a
season quota of 6,000 harvested lamprey is reached. Harvest is allowed
on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from sunrise to sunset. A permit to
harvest lamprey for personal use at Willamette Falls is required. Tribal
members can obtain a Tribal permit and regulations from the Natural
Resources office located at 47010 SW Hebo Road, Grand Ronde. A state
issued permit can be obtained from Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife
at 17330 SE Evelyn Street, Clackamas.
A limited supply of lamprey will be available with the annual salmon
distribution for Tribal members that are not able to harvest lamprey at
Willamette Falls. Please feel free to contact the Natural Resources Depart
ment at 503-879-5522 for any questions regarding lamprey harvesting.
McMinnville Swim Club Tryouts

Any child that can swim the length of the pool has a
place on our team. The goal during this time is to see
if swim club is something for you and for the coaches to
watch the new swimmers and place them into one of
the groups on our team at the end of this tryout. June
16 and on June 27 at 3:30 p.m. MSC's goal is to encour
age swimmers to develop their individual skills and abili
ties while having fun through competitive swimming.
We also promote values and skills that will stay with
athletes throughout their life.
