PROPOSED INDIAN HOUSING PLAN
The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) invites your
written comments on the Tribe's 5-year Indian Housing Plan begin
ning in 2003. This plan is prepared in accordance with the Native
American Housing and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA)
and administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Ur
ban Development, Office of Native American Programs (ONAP).
The purpose of this plan is to establish the goals and objectives for
the development of rental and homeownership housing and housing
services for low-income Tribal members.
For a copy of the proposed 5-year Indian Housing Plan, please con

Youth Crew Member
$7.75hour D Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30
Approximately 8 weeks starting June 30, 2003
Duties: Work as a member of a seven-person summer youth work
crew. Youth crew projects may include stream restorationenhance
ment, trail and park maintenance, native tree plantings, forest in
ventory work, or other natural resource and community projects.
Qualifications: Must be 16-19 years of age. Must have the abil
ity or experience to safely and properly use hand tools. Must be in
good physical condition and be able to work in rugged outdoor ter
rain. Interest or experience in natural resources related work help
ful. Requirements: Furnish their own work boots and successfully
complete pre-employment background check and drug test.
Closing date: Friday, June 6, 2003.
The Natural Resources Department of The Confederated Tribes of
Grand Ronde, in cooperation with Oregon Youth Conservation Corps,
seeks two youth crew leaders and 14 youth crew members for its Sum
mer Youth Crew program. These positions are designed and funded
for the purpose of providing enhanced opportunities for youth andor
students.

Summer Youth Employment Program 8 Week Program
$6.90hour H Monday - Friday, 4 hours per day
8:00 a.m. -12:00 noon or 1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m.
The hours depend on designated work area or credit recovery program.
Requirements:
Enrolled Grand Ronde Tribal Youth between the ages of 14 17
years by start date. Must be responsible, dedicated and reliable. Youth
coming into this program must present a warm and friendly personal
ity and be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.
Youth Education and Human Resources will be sponsoring
MANDATORY informational meeting at the Governance Cen
ter in Room 204. We will be assisting youth in appropriately
filling out an employment application and giving helpful tips
on interviewing. We will also provide important information
on the Summer Youth Employment Program.
All interested youth must attend the following meeting in order to
participate in the program.
