Youth Crew Leader & Fish & Wildlife Intern
$10.50 $13.00hour. Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m 4:30 p.m.
Approximately 14 weeks, starting week of June 13, 2003
Duties: Supervise and provide leadership to a seven-person summer
youth work crew for eight weeks and assist the Fish & Wildlife Department
for four to six weeks. Youth crew projects may include stream restoration
and enhancement, trail and park maintenance and construction, native
tree plantings, forest inventory, or other natural resource and community
projects.
Qualifications: Desire to work with youth and in natural resources.
Must be in good physical condition and be able to work in rugged outdoor
terrain. Experience in the proper use of hand tools.
Requirements: Work boots, valid Oregon Driver's License, safe driving
record. Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and
drug test.
Closing date: Friday, May 23, 2003.
Youth Crew Member
$7.75hour
Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30
Approximately 8 weeks starting June 30, 2003
Duties: Work as a member of a seven-person summer youth work crew.
Youth crew projects may include stream restorationenhancement, trail
and park maintenance, native tree plantings, forest inventory work, or
other natural resource and community projects.
Qualifications: Must be 16-19 years of age. Must have the ability or
experience to safely and properly use hand tools. Must be in good physical
condition and be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Interest or experi
ence in natural resources related work helpful.
Requirements: Furnish their own work boots and successfully com
plete pre-employment background check and drug test.
Closing date: Friday, June 6, 2003.
The Natural Resources Department of The Confederated Tribes of Grand
Ronde, in cooperation with Oregon Youth Conservation Corps, seeks two
youth crew leaders and 14 youth crew members for its Summer Youth
Crew program. These positions are designed and funded for the purpose of
providing enhanced opportunities for youth andor students.

Cultural Trust Meetings In May
The Cultural Trust is a fund established by the Oregon State Legislature to
provide financial support for cultural activities, projects, events, etc. There will
be two opportunities for Tribal members to provide input in the planning pro
cess: Friday, May 16 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 17, 11:30 to 3:30 p.m.
You are invited to come to the Community Center and share your vision of
possible Cultural activities, and help to prioritize cultural projects and activities
for Cultural Trust funding in 2004. Lunch will be provided at the Saturday
meeting.

Summer Youth Employment Program
8 Week Program $6.61hour
Monday - Friday, 4 hours per day
8:00 am -12:00 noon or 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The hours depend on designated work area or credit recovery program.
Requirements:
Enrolled Grand Ronde Tribal Youth between the ages of 14 17 years by
start date. Must be responsible, dedicated and reliable. Youth coming into
this program must present a warm and friendly personality and be sensitive
to the feelings and needs of others.
Youth Education and Human Resources will be sponsoring MAN
DATORY informational meetings at the Governance Center in
Room 204. We will be assisting youth in appropriately filling out
an employment application and giving helpful tips on interview
ing. We will also provide important information on the Summer
Youth Employment Program.
All interested youth must attend one of the following meetings in order to
participate in the program.
