Arvella Cora Houck
Tribal Elder Arvella Hudson Houck passed away on December 2,
2002 in her home. She was 93.
She was born May 19, 1909 in Grand Ronde.
She and DeWalt Houck were married June 22, 1928 in Grand Ronde.
She lived in Brookings from 1958 to 1984, then moved to Hermiston.
She had lived in Willamina since 1991.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid
Portland Trail Blazers fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Beck of Willamina and Val
Grout of Grand Ronde; a son, Les Houck of Harrisburg; a brother
Eugene Hudson of Salem; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
