You can have access to both and more through the Oregon Career Information System. This system is available in the Education Division computer lab as well as on the Internet. It is exceptionally useful in the exploration, research, and planning solutions for schools, colleges, agencies and businesses. There are three main sections of the CIS system. They are as follows: Occupation and Employment Education and Training Exploration Tools Each section has ideas on what occupation you should go into, types of self-employment available, military employment options, goal setting, administrative tools, programs of study and training and a national school sort. You can write letters, devise a career plan, or just discover and ex plore! To top it off you can do a SKILLS or IDEAS assessment. The SKILLS assessment is a self-assessment tool to identify occupations that use the skills you want to use in your work.
