put on a performance on both days.
They did a precision riding act that
helped get the crowd in a rodeo
mood.
Rodeo clown John Shepard was
there, entertaining the crowd and
helping the kids with the stick
horse races. He traded jokes with
announcer Jake Grossmiller, much
to the delight of the crowd. The

A popular event at this year' rodeo was the Wild Horse Race, where
teams of three cowboys try to saddle a bucking horse and ride it across
the finish line.

smaller this year, the Grand Ronde
All-Indian rodeo is well established
and draws talent from as far away
as Washington, California and
Utah.
"We went through great lengths
to make sure it went right," said
Michaelle Kimsey. "We want to put
on a good show so they'll come
back." B
Bulls Win The bull riding competition was fast and furious this year, so much so that no cowboys were able to
complete a full eight-second ride.
