Fall Term Schedule of Classes Enroll Tribal Youth in Before &
After Care Program August 19
Chemeketa Community College's fall term classes will begin the week of
September 23 and continue through the week of December 9. Seven dif
ferent classes are being offered in the evenings in the new Tribal Educa
tion building, as well as four daytime courses telecast from the main cam
pus and available at the Grand Ronde Education Center. For more infor

The United Tribes Technical College (North Dakota) is offering a Nutri
tion and Food Service Program. The program is designed so students will

It's time to enroll Native American students in the Tribe's K-5 Before &
After School Program. Before & After School Program for incoming Na
tive American Kindergarten to Fifth Grade students in either Willamina
or Grand Ronde Elementary schools Sign ups begin at 10:00 a.m. on
Monday August 19 at the Before & After Care modular. For students

Attention: Full Time Higher Education
and Adult Vocational Training Students
A requirement of the Adult Vocational Training Program and the Higher
Education Program is that students attend school full time and that they
file for Federal Financial Aid each academic year that they plan to attend
school.
Federal Aid is disbursed on a "first come first served" basis and a copy
is due to the Tribe's Education Specialist by February 15 of each academic
year. The new academic year, 2002 2003 began on July 1, 2002, and
will run through June 30, 2003. Funding will not be awarded if Federal
Aid filing verification is not in your file.
If you have not submitted a copy of your free application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) and a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) for
2002-2003, please do so now. Copies can be mailed to, The Confederated

Scholarship Opportunity Available
A scholarship opportunity is available for Native American students
who enroll in the Resource Management master's degree program at Cen
tral Washington University. These Native American graduate fellow
ships are funded by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and provide two
years of financial support.
There are still several openings available for students to begin study
