Notice from Chair Cheryle Kennedy To further disseminate information on Tribal Council activities, Smoke Signals will be implementing a monthly review of regular meetings and events attended by Tribal Council members, as well as highlighting additional meetings in which they are involved. This is being put into practice to support a request by the general Tribal membership for increased accessibility to knowledge and information regarding council decisions and actions. This will be a regular process for the council and will be implemented in the next issue of Smoke Signals. In addition, Tribal Council would like to remind everyone that they are welcome to attend all of the Tribal Council sub-committee meetings and the Tribal committee meetings. Following is a schedule of sub-committee meetings and standing Tribal committees. Please be advised this schedule may change upon completion of the organizational refinement effort. Please be aware that some issues discussed during the sub-committee meetings are of a confidential nature. If such an issue arises, council will call for executive session and all observers will be asked to vacate the room until the issue is resolved. Council will explain why they are calling for executive session before they request observers to be excused. Comments regarding the issues being discussed are generally welcome. However, please keep your comments brief and constructive to the decision-making process.
