Dear Honorable Tribal Council:
I would like to use this very pub

the Tribe in this capacity. I feel

Hello,
My name is Elaine Jennings. My
parents are Blaine and Dorothy
Jennings. I was partially raised in
Grand Ronde so I know many of
your members, some of them school
mates. All friends I will cherish. I
receive the Smoke Signals and am
so proud of the things the people
have done. They have come a long
way since I started 1st grade at the
Agency, 1946 or 47. I remember it
well, then we moved to new Grand
Ronde, I went to school there until
the 5th or 6th grade, then we
moved to Willamina and then
Sheridan. And then further out
into the world!
If I would have had my way, I
would have stayed there my whole
life. Some of my good friends are
Tom Bean, Butch LaBonte, Nancy
Wall, Cherie Butler, Snowball and
PeeWee Butler, Martha Moody,
Freeman Bean to mention a few. I
don't know why I am saying all of
this to you, I guess that's because I
miss everyone and I loved them all
so much!
My father logged with the Elders
who are gone now, he is too. But
he was friends with them all I re
member stories of those days. We
moved there in 1944.
I still love all of you,
Elaine Crow

great guy and will be missed by his co-workers.
