The Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation program is for CTGR Tribal members with disabilities who are interested in employment that will empower them to meet their needs and live an independent life-style. The program assists Tribal Members with disabilities to develop a vocational rehabilitation plan that matches their interests, aptitudes and abilities. Who Is Eligible? An enrolled Tribal Member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde who: Resides within the six county service area. Has a physical or mental impairment which for him or her constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment. Can benefit in terms of an employment outcome from vocational rehabilitation services. Requiresvocationalrehabilitationservicetopreparefor,enter,engageinorretaingainful employment. Purpose of VR Services To assist Tribal Members with disabilities in becoming independent through employment. The first reading of the proposed amendments to the Gaming Ordinance was presented at the October 10, 2001, Tribal Council Meeting. The purpose of the amendments is to make technical corrections to various provi sions of the Ordinance and to make necessary substantive changes to the Ordinance to update the Ordinance in light of current Gaming Commission and Spirit Mountain Gaming, Inc. practices. The substantive changes include, but are not limited to, ex panding the right of appeal to the Tribal Court, providing definitions for High and Low Security Licensees, providing that three of the five Commissioners be Tribal members, amending educational andor experience requirements of Commissioners, removing detailed provisions governing use of management contracts, clarifying that Commission meetings on individual licensee and employee matters are not open to the public, providing for licensing of vendors, increasing the minimum age to be present on the gaming floor, modifying the process for license suspensions and appeals of licensing decisions to reflect changes to the Gaming Commission's regulations.
