A Friday Night in Willamina The scene in Wil
lamina on Friday, September 21 was the big rivalry high school
football game between the Willamina Bulldogs and the Sheridan
Spartans. Tribal member Matt Zimbrick 81 (center of photo on
the left) stood tall before the game with teammates Brandon
Lee (63), Jason Bergan (79), Eric Fendall (21) and Bret
Pond (85) and after the game when the 'Dogs won 42-6.
Zimbrick caught a pair of two-point conversions in the win.
Willamina picked up their first win of the season in the victory
over Sheridan and stand at 1-0 in the West Valley League and
1-2 overall. Sheridan is now 0-1 in league play and 0-3 overall.

The CTGR Cultural Resources department will sponsor a one week pro
gram on October 15-19 for Tribal members interested in protecting cul
tural resources. Upon successful completion of the program, participants
will be certified as Cultural Resource Technicians. With this certification,
Tribal members will have the opportunity to competitively apply for fu
ture employment opportunities in the Cultural Resource arena. Cost is
$600 and includes all program materials. Funding may be possible through
the Tribal Education Department's Short Term Training program.

MEMBERS
The Cultural Resources department is putting together a Culture Committee that
will act as representatives of the General Council, in an advisory capacity to the
Cultural Resource department and to Tribal Council, with regards to the preserva
tion and revitalization of the Tribes' cultural heritage.
We are looking for Tribal members that:
Possess knowledge of the Grand Ronde Tribal history and culture.
Are willing and able to share their Cultural knowledge
Are knowledgeable about, or willing to commit time to, learning Federal,
State and Tribal laws regarding Cultural Resource Protection.
If you are interested in applying, please complete the form below and submit it
along with a letter of interest (no longer than one page) by Friday, October 12. If
