Drawing by Steve Bobb
A memorial is being planned to honor
local Veterans from Grand Ronde, Wil
lamina and Sheridan both Tribal mem
bers and members of the community.
The goal of the Veteran's Memorial Ad
Hoc Committee is to raise $300,000 for
completion of the memorial by early in 2003. Tribal member and Marine Corp.
Veteran Steve Bobb designed die memorial. The memorial is being paid for by fund
raisers conducted by local people who care and who are donating their time and
effort to make this dream come true.
On Saturday, September 15
the Memorial Committee held
a garage sale of donated items
at the Depot Building in Grand
Ronde. The sale raised a total
of $1,200 to go towards the
memorial. Pictured here is
