One direction of that plan is to "determine, value and recognize the cultural diversity that is Polk County." We have decided to first move forward by holding a conference that will help us to explore diversity issues within Polk County. Our purpose for this conference is to provide an environment for participants to dialog about the diversity issues they perceive and encounter. Our projected outcome is to provide a "call to action" for folks to carry forward the work on these Issues. Please help us with this effort by answering the following questions: 1. How could this conference help you or your organization to better relate and work with people who have lifestyles, beliefs or traditions different than you are accustomed to? : 2. What gifts and strengths do you, your group'or organization bring to Polk County's multi-cultural community? : 3. How would you describe Polk County to someone who has never been there be fore? : Please use a separate piece of paper if needed. Return to: Polk County 182 S.W.
