CHINUK-WAWA CLASS OFFERED Another multi-level three-credit class in chinuk-wawa will be offered in Septem
ber. It will be conducted by the Tribe's Cultural Education program and sponsored by the University of Oregon. The ten-week
course will begin September 24 and will be held on Monday nights from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Tribe's Community Center.

American Management Association (AMA) class.
The course is titled: "What Managers Do."
This is a five-week course and will meet on
Tuesday nights from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Staff
Lounge at the Wellness Center in Grand Ronde.
A tentative start date for the class is Tuesday,
October 9, 2001. The cost for the class is $152
per person.

Electrical Scholarships
The American Indian Science and Engineer
ing Society (AISES) and OSU-Okmulgee have
combined efforts to recruit new students in the
Electrical-Electronics area of study. A scholar
ship has been established valued at $2,100 per
year and an additional out-of state waiver can .
save students an additional $7,200.
The average starting salaries for graduates of
the Electrical-Electronics area of study range
from $30,000-$35,000 per year. At present, the
Electrical Electronics program is also experienc
ing near 100 percent graduate placement and
an average of 3 to 4 job offers upon graduation.
