HUD Intern Positions
The Department of Urban Planning, at Eastern Washington University
anticipates funding for three HUD Community Development Work Study
positions in the Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) graduate
program starting Fall, 2001.
These positions offer full tuition, books, misc. related expenses and travel
to one national conference each year for two years. In addition, students
work 20 hours per week with a local planning organization and are paid
through the grant at approximately $12.00 per hour.
Minority, female and economically disadvantaged students are encouraged

wAtta Boy" A young Tribal member receives recognition from staff
members Danis Bazzy-Bucknell (right) and Elaine Raven at the Tribal Education
department's annual Honor and Recognition dinner on Saturday, June 16. The
event is held each year at the Grand Ronde Elementary School and honors Tribal
children for their academic accomplishments. A total of 67 graduates were
honored by the more than 200 people in attendance. Watch for a special Honor
and Recognition Issue coming out this summer.

in Dallas. Before and After School kids attended the celebration as part of their
cultural activities.

youth Ukiah Lomboy plant flowers outside the new Before & After Care modular. Be
fore & After Care will hold Fall Registration and an Open House on Wednesday, August
8 at 5: 15 p.m. The program will be for next year's K-5 students. Any questions please
