New Art for Office
The Tribe's Natural Resources department recently
received a 3-D wood sculpture to hang above the
receptionist's desk. Tracy Ward, an inmate at the
Oregon State Corrections Facility, completed the project
by himself. It took him an estimated 2,000 hours to
complete the two-and-a-half year project.
The art features wood that is significant to the Northwest
- Blue Pine, Poplar, Walnut, Aspen, Oak and Cherry.

Freshly Paved Road construction and paving on Ackerson Road next to the
Tribal Health and Wellness Center was completed just in time for the Spirit Mountain
Stampede. A record number of people used the road to access the new Tribal Rodeo
Grounds near the South Yamhill River. Local residents will also benefit from the new
paved road.
