The groom-to-be was going to wait until a Valentine's getaway but said he couldn't wait another day. It was perfect! The couple have set April 13, 2002 for their wedding date. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lori and Randy Foshee of Tillamook. She graduated from Neah-Kah-Nie High School in 1995 and attended Portland Community College's dental assisting program. She is employed at Tillamook County's Pacific Dental Clinic. The groom-to-be is the son of Val Grout and the late Peter Grout, Sr. of Grand Ronde. He graduated from Tillamook High School in 1993 and also attended Portland Community College. He is employed by Spirit Mountain Casino as a Surveillance Technician 1. Genevieve was born June 14, 1928, in Grand Ronde to Paul and Elizabeth Leno Lafferty. She was raised in Grand Ronde and attended St. Michael's School. She lived in Newport before moving to Astoria, and had been an Astoria resident for 34 years. Her hobbies included watching ships and going to the beach, collecting Elvis memorabilia and shopping at Newberry's and Deals Only. She loved her children and grandchildren very much, and enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Home Spirit Bakery early in the morn ing. i She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Paul Shaw and Kenneth and Judy Shaw, all of Astoria; Wes and Roni Shaw of Knappa; Terry and Heather Shaw of Warrenton; a daughter .and son-in-law, Carol and Edwin Edwards of Tacoma, Washington; four sisters, Dorothy Lane of Newport; Marge McAbee and Norma Lee, both of Grand Ronde; and Nita Lee of Warrenton; and two brothers, Gerald Lafferty of Siletz and Kenneth Lafferty of Grand Ronde.
