The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde will be holding a saleauction of surplus
equipment on Saturday, August 1 9 and Sunday, August 20 during the Pow-wow. The
items to be auctionedsold include office equipment, office furniture, VCRs (to Tribal
members only) and misc. Some items will be tagged with prices. The bidding will be
conducted in two segments.
LOCATION: Tribal barn on Ackerson Road. (South side of pow-wow grounds.)
FIRSTSEGMENT Saturday, August 19: TRIBAL MEMBERS. Bidding between
9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with the opening of bids at 4 p.m.
SECOND SEGMENT - Sunday, August 20: TRIBAL MEMBERS. Additional
bidding may be conducted by Tribal members from 9 to 1 1 a.m., with bids opened at
noon. GENERAL PUBLIC. Bidding between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., with opening of the bids
to take place at 4 p.m.
BID PROCESS: Sealed bids in an envelope provided at the sale.
BID INSTRUCTIONS: All items will be numbered. Offers to be written and sealed in a
provided envelope. All envelopes will be opened at the bid opening time. The successful
bidder will be announced at that time. Bidders are requested to return for the opening of
the bids at the time stated above. Tie bids will be resolved by random drawing.
TERMS: Cash or cashier check. PAYMENT: All successful bidders must pay for the items
at the sale. Items must be removed from the Tribal facility by MONDAY, AUGUST 21 .

interested in extra money
The Pow-wow Committee would like to involve Tribal and community part
ners to participate in this years pow-wow. The committee is still looking for
a community group that would like to prepare and serve the Saturday Pow
wow breakfast meal as a fund-raiser on August 19. The food is supplied.
The group would receive the proceeds from donations collected for the meal.
The Pow-wow Committee believes that this is a great way to contribute to
the community as well as build community relationships. Interested groups

Residential Chemical Dependency Counselor
GRADE: 14 DEPT: Nanitch Sahallie in Keizer, Oregon
This position serves as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in an intensive residential
chemical dependency program that uses a holistic approach designed to empower
Native American youth to make choices which allow them to lead happy, healthy lives
while being clean and sober. Requires a Bachelor's degree in chemical dependency
counseling or substantially related field of study. Requires a minimum of three (3) years
experience as an adolescent counselor, preferably in a residential treatment environ
ment and certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor I at a minimum. If in
recovery, must have three (3) years continued sobriety at time of hire.
Indian Child Welfare Caseworker
GRADE: 15 DEPT: Social Services
Perform casework for families and children in crisis, Including child protective services
and other crisis intervention services. , Requires an AS or AS degree in Social Work or
related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Services or
related filed. Requires working knowledge of Indian Child Welfare Act and Native Ameri
can culture and values.
Data Entry Specialist
GRADE: 9 DEPT: Business Office
Analyzes and interprets medical information on the PCC encounter form. Accurately
and timely enters all medically pertinent information into the RPMS computer system.
Requires a minimum of two (2) years of post high school specialized job skills training in
the medical data entry field and three (3) years work experience in medical billing
program or medical records. Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding is
required. Requires certification as a RPMS Level I Site Manager.
Health Information Technician
(Assistant Supervisor)
GRADE: 8 DEPT: Business Office
Performs a variety of advanced technical and administrative tasks in the health record
department. Requires a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of post high
school specialized training in certification as a Health Records Information Technician
andor Certificate in Health Information Technology program from the American Health
Information Management Association. Requires one (1) year of work experience in a
patientclient record keeping or secretarial position.
