On Friday, May 12, the Tribe's Dental staff hosted a luncheon for moms-to-be and moms with
young children. The 50 guests in attendance also included grandmothers, friends and family.
The luncheon featured great food, raffle prizes and gift bags for everyone.
Kathleen Marquart, physician's assistant at the Grand Ronde Health and Wellness Center,
spoke on keeping babies healthy. The second guest speaker was Kathy Gibbs from MarionPolk

LaPine Library salutes Ronaele Loomis
Tribal member Ronaele Loomis is
one of the new volunteers at the La
Pine Branch Library. She volunteers
six hours per week and brings her
volunteering experience from the
Cornelius Library. Ronaele's biggest
talents are that she is an organizer
and has an eye for details. She can
take the most unorganized book
shelves and have them in tiptop
shape in short order. Ronaele is
never too busy to take a few minutes
with the children that come into the
branch. When she is on a break, she
sometimes will help them with color
ing pictures.
Ronaele has lived in LaPine with
her family for about a year. She just
celebrated her 20th birthday before
coming to volunteer at the library.
Ronaele has other interests, which the door, and look forward to hav-
include collecting unicorns, porcelain ing her as a volunteer for a very long
dolls, reading, and puzzle books. time. Great work Ronaele!
The staff looks forward to Ronaele's Reprinted from the Deschutes
smile every time she walks through Public Library System newsletter
