Tribal Health Plan changes Board members needed
There has been some positive changes in the Tribal Health Security Pro
gram. The need for better health care coverage is always a priority to the
Member Services Department as well as Tribal Council.
Three issues have arised due to the upgrade of the health plans:
1) Indemnity Plan members were moved on to the Primary Care
Physician plan:
Members for this portion of the upgrade were chosen geographi
cally. If you were one of the immediate transfers you should have
received a upgrade packet from ODS. You will need to choose a
physician from the directory packet ODS sent you. You will need to
contact us by 04152000 to designate your primary care physi
cian; failure to do so could result in unpaid bills
2) Sound Health Washington enrollees may need to choose a new
Primary Care Physician:
Changes in the Washington physician panel; participants on the
P067 plan in Washington will also be receiving new ID cards. If
your new ID card states primary care physician "not selected" then
you will also need to contact our office so that we may assist you in
finding one.
3) Elders who were switched, in error by ODS:
Elders who were switched in error by ODS will be receiving new
ID cards. Benefits have not changed for this group and your phar
macy benefits are at 100 coverage and you have no co-pays. We
are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please call us with any questions.
Other positive additions:
1) Chiropractic benefits are being added to the plans effective 712000
2) Non-Tribal Member spouse M069 group pharmacy benefits have
been upgraded to 75 effective 040100
Please contact Valorie Sheker, Amy Justen or Jenny Bailey at
