About 45 Elders enjoyed fresh crab at the Community Center on Janu ary 28. The Crab Feed is becoming an annual event where many of our Elders gather to share a good meal of the delicious shellfish as well as salads and condiments. Special thanks to Val Grout, who braved the icy Tillamook roads to bring back 60 crab to the eager crowd. The Elders Committee sponsored the purchase of the crab, and com mittee Chair Sharon Hanson fixed salad, hard-boiled eggs, cheese and crackers, olives, and pickles to round out the feast. Hanson said that the Elders came away with their fill of crab, and many helped with the preparation and clean-up. The Elders' next outing will be on February 25, when they will visit the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem. Dean Mercier enjoying the Crab Feed event. Nanitch Sahallie Youth Treatment Facility in Keizer invites tribal Elders to join them and the clients for lunch one day per month.
