ST .jp fif: - ' - J About 2-12 years ago, efforts began when a design team started working with the Pendleton Blanket company to create a custom Tribal blanket. That beautiful blanket is now available for tribal members to purchase and cherish forever. Each blanket has a leather patch in the lower right corner explaining the symbol representation. SYMBOL LEGEND: 5 feathers represent the five main tribes that make up the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde: Molalla, Chasta, Kalapuya, Rogue River and Umpqua. 3 trees acknowledge Mother Earth and the Tribe's Natural Resources which carried the Tribe from the beginning. 2 "old" hands honor tribal Elders, as from them we get guidance and strength. 1 coyote stands for changes all the changes since Restoration. Spirit Mountain is the Grand Ronde Tribe this is displayed in the center and the diagonal mountain shapes. s t I Tk l- V Y'H hfH - Vr --"wiiWiiii ' ..
