Food Vendors needed at State Parle Champoeg State Park has an op portunity for persons, preferably CTGR Tillicum, interested in cook ing and selling indigenous food at one of their major summer events "Indian Summer." Despite the name, the event is a pioneer celebration of the harvest. It's scheduled to be held on Septem ber 25 and 26. The persons who parr ticipate in this event would need to be prepared to cook and serve items such as salmon, corn on the cob, fry bread, or whatever else might be con sidered indicative of the "pioneer era," or indigenous. Park officials say they typically get around 3,000 people attending the event daily. Of those 3,000 people, between three and four hundred buy a meal there each day. This is a good money making opportunity for someone with experience cooking for large numbers of people. If you are interested in being the featured food vendor at this event please contact Perri McDaniel at (503) 879-2487 or Sheila Herber at (503) 879-2492. Toll-free at 1-800-422-0232.
