Congratulations Becky Edwards!
As a freshman at North Eugene High
School, Becky started at both first and second
base. Becky led the Highlanders with a .435
batting average during league play this sea
son, with 11 RBIs and six doubles. She made
Honorable Mention for the Midwestern
League High School All-Stars and was voted
Best Offensive Player by her teammates. Af
ter coming in second in the Midwestern League,
North Eugene made it all the way to the State
Championship game in Portland but lost to
Central Catholic 1-0 in the 8th inning.
For the summer, Becky was asked to play on
an ASA 16 & under team out of Portland and
will travel all over Oregon and to Idaho and Colorado for tournaments.
Becky is the daughter of Dee and Doug Edwards, granddaughter of
Dorothy and Walter Dewey Parazoo and great granddaughter of Henry
and Ada Rose Parazoo.
Good job, Becky we are proud of you! Love, All Your Family.

Graduation Ceremonies for the D.P.S.S.T.
Dept. of Public Safety Standard training
were held on May 21 in Salem. A total of
40 officers graduated from Oregon Po
lice Academy in Monmouth, Oregon. Of
ficers attending this training were from
Washington, Oregon, Eastern Oregon,
Umatilla and several other surrounding
areas. This is a standard for all Law En
forcement and Peace Officers in Oregon.
They had a long hard grueling three
weeks of tests and defense tactics skills.
Monty plans to continue his education in Law Enforcement.
Monty, we are very proud of you, and wish you the best on your

CHANGE OF NAME SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED

Petition For Change of Name - Juvenile
CALEB ALEXANDER TOMASELLO
by Ryan Mathew Freauff, Petitioner.
The Petitioner, Ryan-Mathew "Freauff, on behalf of the Applicant, Caleb
Alexander Tomasello, a minor child, has petitioned the Court for a Change of
Name for the minor child. Applicant allegedly desires to change his name to
Caleb Alexander Freauff, for the reason stated that:
Applicant's last name differs from the last name of the parent and he wishes
to assume the last name of the parent.
Based on the foregoing petition filed with the Court on April 19, 1999, and good
cause appearing therefor,
IT IS ORDERED THAT the petitioner and any person objecting to the grant
ing of the petition shall appear in the Tribal Court of the Confederated Tribes of
the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, located in the Governance Center, Room
106 at 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, Oregon, on July 15, 1999 at
10:00 a.m. to show cause why the Court should not enter judgement granting
the proposed change of name.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that any written response to this Order by any
party to this case shall be filed on or before July 9, 1999. The Clerk of the Tribal
Court shall cause a copy of this Order to be served upon all parties in accordance
with Rule 14 of the Rules of Pleading, Practice and Procedure of the Tribal Court
of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and file
proof of service with the Court on or before the date set for hearing in this
matter.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the petitioner shall cause a copy of this
Order to be published in the Tribal Newspaper at least 20 days prior to the date
set for hearing.
