FOR TRIBAL PROGRAMS
$6.50 per hour
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to Noon
Program scheduled to run June 28 to August 31

There are a variety of areas youth may be
assigned to work including the following: office
setting, outdoors, preschool, school age child
care.
QUALIFICATIONS: Enrolled Grand Ronde Tribal
Members between the ages of 14-17 by the clos
ing date. Must be a responsible, dedicated, and
reliable student. The youth coming into this pro
gram must present a warm and friendly person
ality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of
others, be able to relate well to children (appli
cable if working in childcare program).

EXECUTIVE OFFICER
CLOSING DATE: JUNE 30, 1999
Responsible for the effective and efficient administra
tion of overall tribal operations. Work is performed
under the general direction of the Tribal Council who
holds the incumbent accountable for achieving Coun
cil goals and objectives and for compliance with policy
directions. Directly supervises over 10 division officers
and managers and indirectly supervises all tribal em
ployees. Must possess superior interpersonal and fa
cilitative skills and be able to Implement an effective
open management style in order to develop and main
tain work team cohesiveness. Requires a minimum of
a Bachelor's degree in businesspublic administration
or closely related field; and at least ten years of pro
gressively more responsible administration experience,
including tribal operations and programs; a minimum
of five years of exempt supervisory experience of a mana
gerial level staff; or any satisfactory combination of
experience and training which demonstrates the knowl
edge, skills and ability to perform the above described
duties. Knowledge of tribal operations, programs and
services; federal and state laws, policies; budgeting and
fiscal management; some computer software; the prin
ciples of supervision of supervision and personnel prac
tices; and considerable knowledge of organizational
development and planning. Ability to plan, organize
and direct the work of others; communicate effectively;
and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of tribal op
erations, programs, and services.
