The Molar
Roller and
Dental
Health Fair
was held at St.
Michael's Church in
February. This year's theme, from
the movie "A Bug's Life," was repre
sented in the dental activity booths
and puppet show. Kids got to skate
and learn fun ways to take care of
, their teeth.

Joint Open House to be held

The Regional Problem Solving and
Highway 18 Corridor Refinement
Committees are holding a joint open
house at the Grand Ronde Elemen
tary School on Wednesday, April
7, from 4:30 p.m to 7 p.m. This is an
opportunity to see and comment on
various proposed land use zoning
changes and alternatives which
have been developed to make long
term improvements on Highway 18.
The open house is an informal situ
ation where you can drop in at any
time and discuss the study results
with a staff or committee member.

Grand Ronde Culture & Heritage
class scheduled for Spring Term
There is limited enrollment avail
able in the Grand Ronde Culture
and Heritage class offered from
Spring Term 1999. It will be a con
tinuation of Winter Term 1999 class
in which students learned two meth
ods of basket weaving.
In this class the will focus on the
natural materials used by the In
dian people of this area in the past
and we will be gathering natural
material as much as possible. This
class is offered as a college credit class
or may be. taken as an audit.
The class is held in Grand Ronde
with the schedule is as follows: Sat
urday, April 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 5
p.m.; Friday, April 30 from 6 to 9
p.m.; Saturday, May 1 from 8:30
a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, June 4 from
6 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, June 5
from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.-

the class. Tribal members need to
complete a Short Term Training Pro
gram application for costs to be cov
ered by the Education Department.

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde is seeking any salvage con
tractor or any other business agent who may be interested in purchasing
and removing an old barn. The barn is available for public viewing from
the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time at the Confederated Tribes of
Grand Ronde headquarters complex at 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand
Ronde, Oregon. Any contractors or businesses that may be interested in
purchasing and removing the barn may respond by submitting a letter
of interest to the Tribe. The letter must be sent to the following address:
Public Works Department, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, 9615
Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, OR 97347.
Letters of interest must be received no later than 4 p.m. Pacific Time on
Friday, March 19, 1999. The Tribe assumes no responsibility for de
layed or undelivered mail or express packages. Letters of interest may be
hand delivered to the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Governance
Center at the Governance Center Reception Counter. It is the responsi
bility of the letter delivery service provider to locate the correct building
and reception counter before the submittal deadline. Letters of interest
that are not delivered by the above specified time, date, and location will
not be considered. Faxed letters will not be accepted.

Chemelceta classes in Grand Ronde
The classes listed below will be offered in Grand Ronde through Chemeketa
Community College. Non-tribal members must register for these classes
through a Chemeketa campus. For more information, please contact the
