1 10 Tribal Life Smoke Signals November 1, 1998 Tribal Life 11 Housing article correction The July 1 article on the Tribe's housing pro grams contained an error which has caused some misunderstanding with readers. The article stated that the Elder community "will house tribal Elders with low to moderate income (be tween $25,400-$29,000) for about 30 percent of their annual income." This statement is true, except for the income range. It should have read "maximum annual income for one person is $25,400, and maximum annual income for two people is $29,400." Some Elders believed that they had to have an income of at least $25,400 to qualify for "low-income" which seemed ridiculous! We apologize for the misunderstanding. Note: The Elders' Housing Project is currently underway, but has fallen behind schedule due in part to complications with the Water Association.
