Native youth invited to submit artwork
OSU invites Oregon Native American students, grades K-12 to submit works
of art for a student exhibition. All work will be shown on May 14, 1999 at the
LeSells Stewart Center on the Oregon State University Campus. The exhibi
tion will be held in conjunction with the OSU Spring Pow-wow.
All art work is due November 1, 1998. Mail completed work to Sacred
Landscapes Art Exhibit, Department of Art, 106 Fairbanks Hall, Oregon State
University, Corvallis, OR 97331. If you want your art work to be returned to
you please include return postage. Cash prizes will be awarded. Art work
will be judged as it responds to the conference theme: Sacred Landscapes:
Native American Perspectives of the Pacific Northwest. Also, an Honor
Award will be presented to the work selected as the conference logo. That
work will be used on a T-shirt and a poster publicizing the conference. For
