Elders travel to Idaho to visit Nez Perce Tribe The most recent Elders' excursion was a trip jo the Nez Perce Indian Reservation near Lewiston, Idaho. The last week in May,, the Nez Perce hosted a Senior Honor Day and in vited Grand Ronde, Siletz, and Coeur d'alene Elders to spend the weekend with them. Visiting Elders were hon ored with a flag song from the veter ans, and .several award ceremonies. : They all had lunch at Clearwater River Casino, owned by the Tribe, where awards were given for oldest Elder, Elder with the most grandkids and the most great-grandkids. Tribal , Elder Diane. Lane won a jacket, for , "Elder who drove the most miles in their own vehicle to get there." The Elders also visited the Nez Perce museum in Spalding National Park, which held ancient artifacts, beadwork, and other items.
