Elder Housing meetings scheduled
Design work is now underway for the Elder community planned for Grand
Ronde. The following meetings will be held at the Grand Ronde Community
Center. The architect will present the work that he has done to date.
REVIEW OF SCHEMATIC DESIGN FOR RENTAL UNITS:
This next round of meetings as scheduled below will review the designs for
the individual rental units that will initially be built. The information pre
sented will also be the same for each of the three meetings.
June 15 at 3 p.m. Elder applicant group review for all Elders with appli
cations on the waiting list.
June 15 at 7 p.m. Community review for all interested tribal members.
June 16 at 1 p.m. - Elder mealsite group review for all Elders.
The evening community meetings are planned for all tribal members who
are interested but who do not participate in the Elder meals, or who are not on
the Housing Authority's waiting list for Elder housing. You will want to
attend these evening meetings if you would like to offer your ideas and re
ceive information about the plans. If you would like to offer your ideas but
cannot attend the meetings, you may call the Housing Authority.
The Housing Authority is on a fast time schedule so we can begin to con
struct the roads and utilities this year, and hopefully get started building the
actual rental units in January so they can be occupied in the fall of 1999.
