What brought you to SMC: "The timing with my college graduation and
the opening of the Casino was perfect!"
What you would like others to know about you: "I am extremely proud to
be part of the Marketing Department that has helped make Spirit Mountain
the number one tourist attraction in Oregon! However, knowing the Casino
is helping the Tribe toward its goal of self-sufficiency is the most motivating
factor of my job. The Tribe is accomplishing incredible things with the
Casino revenues, knowing that I have contributed is very rewarding."

Philosophy or Personal Creed: "Try to bring a little happiness into someone's
life everyday. I believe that a smile is one of the most important things you
can give someone. It doesn't cost anything and helps when it rains a lot."
What brought you to SMC: "I moved down here from Kennewick, Wash
ington when I ran for Tribal Council.. .but it wasn't in the cards."
What you would like others to know about you: I consider myself fortu
nate to have served in the Women's Army Corps. The last 19 months of my
enlistment I was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany where I was able to take
advantage of my central location to travel to places where I probably would
have only dreamed about. I also believe that the experience helped me gain
a much broader understanding and awareness of people and cultures and
helped me to shape my values and determination to make a better life for
myself and those within my circle of influence."
