MAY 5: CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION
You'll be able to hear the sounds of the authentic Mariachi band, Viva
Mexico who will perform from 1 1 a.m. to I p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. in the
main lobby. One lucky person will go home with a trip for two to Cabo
San Lucas, Mexico. Trip drawing is at 9 p.m. at the Coyote Club Desk.
Tickets will be handed out in the gaming areas from 3 to 9 p.m. Must be
21 and present to win.
MAY 10: MOTHER'S DAY CRUISE AND SHOPPING
SPREE GIVEAWAY
In honor of mom's everywhere every lady through the door will re
ceive a complimentary flower, and everyone has a chance to win a Carib
bean vacation for two or a $1000 shopping spree. Shopping spree drawing
is at 3 p.m. and the cruise drawing is at 8 p.m., both will take place at the
Coyote Club Desk. Must be 21 and present to win.
MAY 17-23: OREGON AMERICAN INDIAN WEEK

JUNE 20-21: SPIRIT MOUNTAIN STAMPEDE
Rodeo activities will take place at the Grand Ronde Pow-wow Grounds
on Grand Ronde Road. On Saturday night, you can kick up your heels at
the Casinos Cowboy Dance.
JULY 16: COMEDIAN JEFF FOXWORTHY
The Comedy Twins will be the opening act. Spirit Mountain is proud to
present this show as part of the Grand Opening of the Expansion Celebra
tion. This will be the first concert to be held in the expanded bingo
concert hall. There will be two shows, starting at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are $30 and $35, and will go on sale Thursday, May 21.
AUGUST 16: THE BEACH BOYS
Mike Love, Bruce Johnson, and David Marks from The Beach Bop will
perform at 8 p.m., with The California Girls as their opening act. Tickets
on sale Thursday, June 18 for $30 and $35.
SEPTEMBER 3: GRAND FUND RAILROAD
Spirit Mountain presents classic rock legends Grand Funk Railroad for
one show only at 8 p.m. Opening act to be announced. Tickets scheduled
to go on sale Thursday, July 2. Ticket prices are $25 and $30.
JPIWT MOUNTAIN CAJINO
PLEASE NOTE: As part of Spirit Mountain's expansion, the concert
hall will increase in capacity by approximately 700 seats. Due to the in
crease of tickets being sold, we are looking into new ticket selling options.
Where to purchase tickets in person and by phone will be announced soon.
No persons under 21, no cameras allowed, and no alcoholic beverages

We will start with drumming at the Willamina Corner VX'"7
Store (City Market), then we will march from the store
to the road that goes up to the Middle School, back on
the other side of the road to Little Foot and back to the
store where we will drum some more and have refreshments. This activity is
sponsored by the Tribe's Wellness Component. If you have any questions,

New logo; members for Pow-wow Committee
The Pow-wow Committee would like to thank all of

The 1998 Grand Ronde Contest Pow-wow is the weekend
of August 14-16. Grand Entry will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday
night. Saturdays events include a Parade at 11 a.m. and Grand
Entries at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The last Grand Entry will take place on
Sunday at 1 p.m. People are still needed to help with this years pow-wow. If
you are interested in working on any of the following sub-committees, please
