The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Vocational Rehabilitation Program will be
having Informational Evenings in the Salem, Portland, and Grand Ronde areas. We will
discuss the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and answer any questions that you may
have. If you are interested in learning more about the program please come by, we look
forward to meeting with you. A mailing should be arriving soon with additional informa
tion. The Informational Evenings are scheduled as follows:
PORTLAND September 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 1 1 10 SE Alder.

Veterans' continue representing Tribe
The VETERANS' ROYALTY recently represented the Tribe at the Lowel Berry and
Jam Festival in Lowel, Oregon on August 2, and of course at the Grand Ronde Pow-wow
taking 2nd place in the parade. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde COLOR GUARD
AND VETERANS' ROYALTY will be representing the Tribe on September 13 and 14
at the "Rattling Thunder Pow-wow" in Vancouver, Washington. They will also be at the
Veterans' Day Parade on November 8 in Vancouver.
Twenty-Three Simmons' have impromptu reunion
Bill Simmons, now of Sheridan, saw all 3 of his children and most of his grandchildren
at the 1997 Pow-wow: Eva Trammell of Bellingham, WA. and her children Angela, boy
friend Lonnie, Jeremy, Travis, and Carley; Angela Radoiski of Sheridan and her children
Eli, Seth and Ariel; Bill Jr. of Jernonia with fiancee Teri and Daughter Ashley; Sam Simmons
of Grand Ronde; Walt Simmons of Granada Hills, California and his wife Barbara; his
oldest daughter Julie of Newport and her daughters Sarah, Mallory, Tiffany and Helen;
