Trisha Yearwood, country music singer and songwriter,
will perform before a sold-out crowd on April 16 at
Spirit Mountain Casino.
Her latest album, Everybody Knows, follows her 1995
platinum-selling Thinkiri About You an album that
propelled her to superstardom and earned her a Grammy
nomination.
Raised in the small town of Monticello, Georgia,
Trisha knew she wanted to become a recording artist
after she heard the music of Linda Rondstadt while in
junior high school. After graduating from Nashville's
Belmont College, Trisha worked for MTM Records as a
demo singer, until finally landing a recording contract
with MCA Records.
Her most successful single, "She's In Love With the
Boy," became a huge hit and got her noticed by country
music fans, as well as the concert tour with Garth Brooks. Her third and fourth albums, Hearts In Armor and
The Song Remembers When dispelled thoughts that Trisha's success was a flash in the pan. She received a
Grammy Award for her duct with Aaron Neville.
Music critics have responded to Trisha's talents as well. Entertainment Weekly called her "one of the finest
interpretive singers ever to grace the genre." People magazine stated, "Trisha Yearwood just gets better and
better." Ticketholders can rest assured that Trisha Yearwood will sing all of her old favorites as well as the
singles from her new album when she appears at the Casino.
