Super Sale a Super Success!
Next Sale scheduled for February 28 and March 1
Grand Ronde tribal member Andy Auger and his wife Rebecca would like to thank
everyone who came to the special SUPER SALE they had recently in the Commu
nity Center. It was a huge success and they hope everyone enjoyed the sale as
much as they did putting it on. "It reminded us of how fun retail can be at times,"
said Andy.
They plan to hold another SUPER SALE in the Community Center on Friday,
February 28 from 1 0 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 1 from 1 0 a.m. to 4 p.m.
so mark your calendars. They hope everyone who came last month will come
again and anyone who didn't make it will have a chance to check it out this time.
Andy said they have a better idea of the popular items now. The groceries
soups, cereals, coffee, and Jello went very well. The $1 housewares and vari
ety items, the special $2 medicine selections, and diapers also sold well. They will
bring more and different items in these categories including some nice wicker for
this next sale.
"The biggest surprise was the boxes of clothing, household items, toys, health
and beauty, furniture, household decorating items, and other general merchandise
items we decided to bring at the last minute from one of our best liquidation ac
counts." Andy said although they only brought a small 'lot' from this supplier,
everyone seemed to really enjoy the items. "I guess people love digging through
the boxes to find a bargain for themselves or their family, we will definitely bring
more next time!"
Andy is working with Nancy Holmes and others to help with the new Food Bank.
He says the success of this sale is giving them the ability to help out even more
than they had expected. Andy met with Mike Reibach. at the sale and they put
together a package deal of many needed items for Spirit House.
Andy and Rebecca would like to give a very special thanks to Russell Leno and
family. Andy somehow strained his back on Saturday and could hardly move.
Rebecca was faced with a six hour job of packing up the whole sale, until Russ
showed up to get some last minute deals. Seeing the situation, Russ offered to
help her and even called some of his family in to help as well. Thank you Russ Leno
and family, and to everyone who came to this sale.
The next sale is a big sale to put on and the Augers will be utilizing
some part time helpers. If anyone is interested in working, contact
Connie Holmes at the Human Resources Department at 879-2267.
