Chris LeDoux:
Talent is his middle name
. Chris LeDoux - world champion bareback bronc rider,
cattle rancher, builder, award-winning bronze sculptor,
husband, father, and cowboy is coming to Grand Ronde.
Singing and writing songs would seem like just another
skill in his list if it weren't for the fact that he's so good
at it. He's recorded 28 albums, fills 20,000 seat are
nas, and has a devoted fan base that encompasses the
old-timers who followed him op the rodeo circuit and
the next generation who knows him as a loud and rowdy
entertainer.
LeDoux signed with Capitol Nashville in 1991. It
didn't take long before he became a certified music
star, reaching number seven on the country singles chart
with "Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy," a duet with
his famous fan, Garth Brooks.
Stampede, LeDoux's seventh album for Capitol Nash
ville includes two west-inspired songs from the per
former: the title song, and "Take Me to the Rodeo."
With all his success in music, LeDoux is still a cow
boy first. Though he retired from the rodeo in 1 984,
he owns a working ranch in Wyoming. "Eventually,"
he says, "it would be nice to ride off into the sunset,
go out and follow the cows around."
