Honor Lights fundraiser
In December, the Health & Human Services
Committee will light hundreds of Honor
Lights on a Christmas tree. The Honor
Lights serve as a visual reminder of
those you wish to honor during the
coming holiday season.
We invite you to join symbolically
in this honoring event. The cost of an
Honor Light is $1. Donations will also be accepted.
The proceeds of this fund-raising event will go towards
purchasing the Art Work that will adorn the Health &
Wellness facility which will be opening during the sum

Biologist's Assistant
The Natural Resources Division has an opening for
a Biologist's Assistant. This person would split
duties between the Environmental Specialist and
Fish and Wildlife Departments. Duties would range
from evaluating, researching, and writing NEPA
and other environmental documents to participat
ing in various wildlife monitoring and enhance
ment programs. A degree, or progress toward a
degree in BiologyEnvironmental Science or a closely
related field is required. This will be a full-time,
temporary position. Applications along with a re
sume and brief writing sample must be received no
later than Friday, December 6.

JOB LEVEL: 4
CLASSIFICATION: Nonexempt
CLOSING DATE: MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1996
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To contribute to the
Tribe's mission of improving the quality of life for
tribal people by assisting the department in provid
ing administrative support for tribal divisions, cour
teously and accurately answering the main tele
phone lines and performing a variety of clerical
duties for the Finance Division.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING & EXPE
RIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent with that
level of spelling, grammar, punctuation, basic com
position and basic vocational skills training. Must
have at least one year work experience in clerical
positions, greeting the public using telephone tech
niques and a multi-line phone system to handle a
high volume of incoming calls in a courteous and
efficient manner.
SPECIAL LICENSING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1 . Ability to operate standard office machines. Abil
ity to use personal computers preferred but not re
quired. 2. This is an entry level position and will be filled
by a tribal member unless no tribal members apply.

The Pow-wow Committee is seeking to fill three Royalty
Advisor positions by the first of the new year! If you are a
tribal member, 18 years or older, and have an interest in
cultural activities, fund-raisers, and teaching the young la

Attention all athletes! There will be an all-Indian Basket
ball Tournament for high school students ages 1 5-1 8 at Chc
mawa Indian School November 30 to December 1 . Here is
a great opportunity to get involved with a team and partici
pate in a fun activity. If you arc on your basketball team at
school, this will be a chance to get back into shape before
