Duties include monitoring various project ac tivities at different site locations ranging from the south shore of the Columbia River to the California border. Potential candidates must have good oral and writ ten communication skills and be able to work without direct supervision and be willing to accept training. Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's license and a safe driving record is required. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 . Monitoring and collecting date at archeological sites. 2. Writing observational reports on site activities. 3. Maintaining a daily log of work activities. 4. Preparing and conducting oral presentations on work activities for cultural re sources staff and others. 5. Maintain regular communication and correspondence with technical profession als including archeologists, park rangers, and resources management specialists. 6. The facility is scheduled for completion, July 1997. We, the tribal Health and Human Services (HHS) Com mittee are working on gracing our facility with fine art work. We believe that our own tribal members are gifted artists and we are extending this opportunity to you to show your work. The HHS Committee has developed a budget for purchasing tribal member art work. We cordially in vite you to submit a portfolio of a sampling of your art work so that selections can be made. While we would love to view your art work first hand, we do not want to have it damaged by mail or mishandling; therefore, we are asking that you send a portfolio of your art which includes photographs and a brief description of each piece. The art work can be made from textiles, leather, metals, etc., which would include carvings, paintings, sculptures, beadwork, photography, bas ketry, pottery, etc. The theme of the art should de pict our northwest and coastal culture and heritage. Please include a price for each article. The proceeds of this fund-raising event will go towards purchasing the Art Work that will adorn the Health & Wellness facility which will be opening during the summer of 1 997.
