Correction
EDITOR'S NOTE: The last issue of
Smoke Signals featured Tribal Council
meeting minutes from October 9. We indi
cated that the Restoration Celebration and
Tribal Christmas Party were to be celebrated
together on December 14. Actually, there
will be two separate events celebrating these
holidays. The Restoration Celebration
will be held November 24 at the Grand
Ronde Elementary School (see details, page
8). The Christmas Party will still be held
on December 14, also at the school.
The October 15 report on Council actions
also states that HHS requested a Pendleton
Blanket to be raffled off to earn money for
Elders' food baskets. This was a mistake.
The food baskets are actually going to lo
cal disadvantaged and needy tribal mem
ber families. We regret the error.

ing legal education to the consumer. She
would like to know what areas tribal mem
bers are interested in learning about. Please
contact her with any ideas.
