The Stampede marked the culmination of a week-long festival at Spirit Mountain Casino Western Days which included two Waylon Jennings concerts, and a western dance at the casino, as well as a real down-home barbecue. Look for Spirit Mountain Stampede to be an annual event in Grand Ronde! Special thanks to all the folks who worked to create the rodeo arena, and the parking and ticket volunteers. Tribal member Natalie Thomas, and her pony, Peanut, charged $ 1 for pony rides at the Stampede. Natalie made $57 and donated it all to the collection in Martha Jane Sands' basket in the casino entrance. Natalie, a fifth grader, lives in Newbcrg. Thank you, Natalie. Your generosity is appreciated. Rodeo photos by Kevin Mueller. i : 3 raw if rj v ' f T1 H VI ."7 L i 1 ,! r.! t -. ' if m , - -' v- ' 'i --
