The Tribal Elders have been making
baskets for the past month and they are
ready to add creative touches to their

A community march was held in July in Bunnsville, a residential area of Grand
Ronde. About two dozen marched in protest of drugs, violence, and crime in
their neighborhood.

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde will be holding an auction of surplus
equipment on Saturday, August 1 7 during the Pow-Wow. The items to be
auctioned are office equipment, building materials, office furniture, computer
equipmentparts, and misc. items. A mobile home will also be auctioned.
The auction will be conducted in a two part process.
LOCATION: Large red barn on Ackerson Rd.
(South side of the Pow-Wow grounds.)
FIRST SEGMENT: TRIBAL MEMBERS
AUCTION TIME: 1 2:00 Noon (opening of the bids)
BID TIME: Bidding between 1 0:00 a.m. until noon
BID PROCESS: Sealed bid in an envelope provided at the auction.
SECOND SEGMENT: GENERAL PUBLIC
AUCTION TIME: 5:00 p.m. (opening of the bids)
BID TIME: Bidding between 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
BID PROCESS: Sealed bid in an envelope provided at the auction
BID INSTRUCTION: All items will be numbered. Bidders will write in their
offer and seal it in a provided envelope. All envelopes will be opened at the
auction time of 1 2 noon for the Tribal Members Auction, and 5 p.m. for the
General Public Auction. The successful bidder will be announced at that time.
Bidders are requested to return for the opening of the bids.
PAYMENT: All successful bidders must pay for the items at the auction.
Items must be removed from the tribal facility by August 23, 1 996.
