Chemeketa offering classes in Grand Ronde Opportunity lies in HEP
Chemeketa's McMinnville and Dallas campuses are offering a series of credit classes this
Spring Term at the Tribal Education Building classroom. You can choose to attend the
following classes:
Introduction to Composition WR115 (sequence number 5349) and English
Composition WR1 2 1 (sequence number 5348). The classes will be held on Mondays, from
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The instructor is Jean Moynahan. The tuition is $99, plus a $2 fee.
Intermediate Algebra MTH 095 (sequence number 5426). The classes will be held on
Tuesdays, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The instructor is Diane Osborn. The tuition is $132.
Introduction to Microcomputer Applications CS101 (sequence number 5347). The
classes will be held on Wednesdays, from 6 to 9 p.m. The instructor is Susan Watkins. The
tuition is $99, plus a $12 fee.
Introduction to Ethnic History - Native American HST257 (sequence number 5430).
The classes will be held on Thursdays, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The instructor is Judith

The Tribal Adult Vocational Training pro
gram covers fees for GED testing and Ba
sic Skill Development classes for members
of the Grand Ronde Tribe.
If you live in the Grand Ronde area, the
Adult Education program is also offering
tribal members to take classes this spring.
The Education Division needs informa
tion about the number of people interested
in attending GED classes in the Grand
Ronde area. The division is working with
Chemeketa Community College to provide
community classes in Grand Ronde and
needs to identify sufficient numbers to
qualify for services in this area. This is a
great opportunity to attend classes locally.
The program will be open to non-tribal
members, as well.

Position : 96-10 PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Salary: $2005 - $2355 MO Closing Date: Friday, March 29, 1 996
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provision of diversified property management
services for a tribal governmental operation that involves; public works, housing,
natural resources, medicaldental clinic, social services, administration, and
other departments. The Property Management Specialist will be responsible for
equipment acquisitions, inventory controls and property planning, which
includes working closely with the various departments on defining their specific
requirements, preparing bid documents, acquisition procedures, and providing
technical assistance to ensure compliance with all tribal, federal and state
requirements. The Property Management Specialist will conduct ongoing
research for the identification, location, transfer of government excess property
and will maintain all appropriate property inventory management and controls for
accounting, adequate insurance coverage, ordering, receiving, tagging, storing,
distribution and disposal.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: At a minimum possess an Associate Degree in the
business field preferably accounting and as a primary responsibility five years
direct work experience in diversified property management, inventory controls
and capitol equipment acquisitions. Preferably in a governmental environment.
KNOWLEDGE OF: Considerable knowledge of basic bookkeepingaccounting,
purchasing principles and techniques, bidding process, government excess
equipment acquisition, inventory controls and inventory control computer
software.
ABILITY TO: Ability to organize and maintain records; maintain effective working
relationships with other departments, vendors, outside agencies, and
communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
SKILL IN: Sourcing government excess equipment, supplies and materials.
Preparing bid documents, inventory management & disposal, utilization of
inventory control software programs, and operation of standard office
equipment including; computers, printers, facsimiles and copiers.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Oregon driver's license and safe
driving record.
