New handbook
rules for Fish
and Wildlife
Department
The following is a list of new rules the Fish
& Wildlife Committee has adopted for the
1995-96 hunting season. Please read them
carefully.
Failure to follow the rules will result in tribal
violations.
Any person under the age of 18 must have
their parentguardian co-sign for hisher tag.
No tag will be issued without a parentguard
ian signature.
All tags must be picked up seven days prior
to the beginning of the hunt (except general
deer). There will only be one letter sent out to
each of the drawing winners. This will be your
only notification. If your tag is not picked up
by the appropriate date, it will be re-issued to
the next person on the list.
"All Hunter Return Cards must be returned
to the Fish & Wildlife Department ten ( 1 0) days
from the last day of said hunt. There will be
no warnings or extended deadlines. Failure
to return cards will result in tribal penalties.
"Eligible tribal mem-ber's must complete a
transfer form in order to transfer a tag to an
other tribal member. Forms must be filled out
completely by both parties before tag will be
issued. Forms can be obtained from the Fish
& Wildlife Department.
Annual elk drawing
held on August 7
The Fish & Wildlife Committee will hold
it's annual elk tag drawing on August 7, 1995 at
5 p.m. at the Tribal Community Center.
Drawing Rules:
"Only one application per category. Multiple
applications will result in all applications be
ing invalid for the individual.
"All applications must be completely filled out
and turned into the Fish & Wildlife Depart
ment by 12:00 noon on August 7, 1995.
Tribal members must select their preference
for the first or second season elk hunt. The
preference must be circled on the application
form. If no preference is selected or both
circled, the application will be invalid.
Those interested in the bow elk hunt may also
submit an application for general elk, but their
name will be withdrawn from the general elk
if they draw a bow tag.
Bow and general elk season tag applicants
may also apply for the controldamage hunt of
their choice.
"General elk tag winners will also be eligible
for a controldamage elk tag.
