The job scene
Bullish employment market continues upswing
Jobs are out there for qualified
candidates, and the employment
picture looks bright.
Kit Devine, tribal personnel of
ficer, is working on several jobs
that will or are being advertised in
cluding: a pharmacist, a research
assistant, an administrative special
ist and an organizational develop
ment specialist.
Devine expects that some tribal
employees will move into better
paying jobs with the gaming cen
ter as it starts hiring. That will leave
vacancies to be filled in the tribal
offices.
The gaining center being devel
oped by the Spirit Mountain Devel
opment Corporation, will have its

two years experience needed.
Law enforcement and training
officer, Monmouth, $2,606 to
$3,472 a month, four years police
experience or appropriate degree.
Program representative, alcohol
and drug abuse program, Salem,

The U.S. Bureau of Census has
several immediate openings for
field representatives in Clackamas,
Multomah, Washington, Columbia,
and Yamhill counties. There are
also openings in Clark County,
Wash. Primary duties include con
ducting household interviews in
person and by phone. Area of con
sideration is based on location of
workload.

Able to work days, evenings, and

Tribe seeking fishermen
Are you an unemployed tribal member who has worked as a
commercial salmon fisherman? Some federal agencies are creating
a habitat restoration project which will employ fisherman. The
Tribe may apply for project funds to do work on the reservation.
