Timber Salvage Sales
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Natural Resources Division is accepting applications for future
timber salvage sales on the reservation. The purpose of this announcement is to establish an updated list of qualified
tribal applicants. If interested please send the information listed below to the Tribal Forestry Office, 26930 Salmon
River Highway, Willamina, Oregon 97396.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: enrolled tribal member of Grand Ronde,
recent logging experience and verifiable references, own or can obtain adequate logging equipment, and ability to
obtain insurance andor payment bond if required.
Please send the following applicant information to the Forestry Office:
1. Name address, phone number.
2. Roll number.
3. Business name, address, phone number.
4. Explain the type of logging experience you have and the equipment you can operate or are familiar with.
5. We will need three logging references. Please include their names, addrews. and nhnnp nurnhnrs
6. List the logging equipment you own.
7. List the logging equipment you have access to.

(FONSI) on the proposed timber harvest of 58.4 acres on the Grand Ronde reservation known as the Outback
Logging Unit, located in a portion of Section 31, T. 4 S., R. 7 W., W.M., Yamhill County, Oregon.
AGENCY: Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Communitv of Orpann Nflhirni
ACTION: Notice
SUMMARY: This notice is to advise any interested parties that an Environmental Assessment has been prepared
for the proposed timber harvest on the Grand Ronde Reservation. Based upon the EA, it has been determined that
the proposed action will not result in significant impacts on the human environment,and therefore an Environmental
Impact Statement (EIS) is not required. The EA and FONSI are available for public review and the Grand Ronde
Tribal Forestry Offices.

Craft Class for the month of March will be held on
Thursday, March 24 at the Depot building from 6:00 to 8:00
P.M. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For

Tribal Council Nominations
Nominations for Tribal Council candidates will be
held at the May 1994 General Council meeting.
Any dually enrolled member who will be 18 years
of age or older on the date of the election is qualified to be a
candidate.
Any eligible voter may nominate a candidate from
the floor at the May meeting. The candidate must be present
at the meeting to either accept or decline the nomination.
Council members up for re-election are: Candy Robertson,
Merle Holmes, and Ray McKnight.
Valentine's Day Dance
Tina Grout and Bill Fletcher were struck by cupid
at the 1994 Valentine's Dance, and were crowned Mr. and
Mrs. Sweetheart. The Wellness and Prevention staff want to
thank them for their participation in the dance and wish them
a good year. The dance was held at St. Michael's Gym on
February 12.
