Smoke Signals August 1993 Page 2 Nanitch Sahallie Employee of the Month: Jon George Jon George was voted Employee of the Month by his fellow co-workers atNanitch Sahallie Youth Treatment Center. Jon is Chief Cook for Nanitch, and has just recently been married. He has been cooking in restaurants for 14 years, and enjoys his job at Nanitch. Said Jon, "I'm very proud to be recognized as a devoted employee. I have never been happier at a job than I am at this one. I enjoy working with everyone at the Center, especially my friends in the kitchen." Tribal Elections Information Vote: September 11, 1993 WHO MAY VOTE: Any enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon who will be 18 years of age or older on the date of the scheduled Tribal Council Elections. APPLICATIONS FORABSENTEEE BALLOTS: Each person applying for an absentee ballot must fill out and sign an application form. Application forms shall be available at the Grand Ronde Tribal Offices in Grand Ronde. The application forms may also be requested from the Election Board. No request for an application shall be valid after 5:00 P.M. on the last working day prior to the elections. DATE AND LOCATION OF ELECTIONS: The Tribal Council Elections will be held Saturday, September 1 1 , 1 993 atthe Community Center in Grand Ronde.
