Election Results
Tribal Council elections were held September 7, 1991.
The winners were Ray McKnight, Candy Robertson and
Merle Holmes. The Council members will serve a three
year term.
Following are the results of the election. Candidates are
listed in order of nomination.

The 7th Annual Pow wow of the Confederated Tribes of
Grand Ronde drew approximately 5,000 people to see
and participate in a variety of activities, including the
annual royalty pageant which crowned Deana Gardner
199192 Miss Grand Ronde, and Courtney Galligher as
199192 Jr. Miss Grand Ronde. Other activities
included a very successful first parade, the annual Fun
RunWalk, and lots of tribal dancing and drumming,
including guest native dancers from New Zealand.
Vendors sold food and Native Arts and Crafts, while the
Tribe furnished a meal which included salmon, elk and
