For many community colleges and universities in the
Northwest, Spring Term 1991 officially concluded as of
June 7th, 1991. For many of our students it meant several
things; the excitement of graduation ceremonies; relief that
Term final exams were completed; a break from studies or
a much needed Summer vacation. Whatever the reasons,
all of our students should receive a pat on the back for
making it through another school year.
During the 1990 -1991 school year the Higher Education
Program.assisted a total of 29 students from September
"90 through June 91. At the close of this school year there
were 22 students who completed the entire year. Of this
number, 3 graduated and received Bachelor of Science
Degrees. One student completed requirements for re
newal of Teaching Certification in Elementary Education.
The Employment Assistance Adult Vocational Training
Program, provided assistance to a total of 21 students
during the months of September "90 through June 91. Of
this number 13 completed the school year. There were 6
AVT students who graduated and received Association of
Arts Degrees, Certificates of Completion, or a License.
Combining both the Higher Education and Adult Voca
tional Training Programs, there were 9 graduates all total.
Lets offer all our students a round of applause for all their
hard work. Many of our students juggled difficult schedules
between school, work and personal time with families.
